Only the first level of the house will be accessible to renters. The upper level is for IFI Staff only. On the first level there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room, living room, and kitchen. Washer and dryer are also available. Location is in Fairborn, less than a 5-minute drive from the Wright State campus. There is transportation to WSU available via a shuttle service; however, it’s more convenient if you have access to a car.
There are three bedrooms for rent: two smaller ones and a larger one, each furnished with a bed, desk, and dresser. The exact rent would vary depending on the room rented, but is generally $400 for a single and $250 each for the shared room. Utilities would be in addition, but a reduced amount ($30-60 extra a month depending on usage). An extra $20 per month is added to pay for common cleaning supplies and food supplies such as rice and spices.
TrueMan House Vision & Purpose:
– This is currently mixed gender housing.
– The purpose is to create a safe, family environment for Americans and internationals to live together where internationals can practice their English and everyone can share their cultures and live in close community with each other.
– As a part of belonging to IFI and with IFI staff living there, renters should be aware that the house is a resource that is open to all international students and IFI volunteers/staff in accordance with the oversight and discretion of the current IFI Dayton director(s). This means that it would potentially be used for different meetings, events, and Bible studies, and there would often be people coming/going from the house. Renters are expected to extend hospitality to those visiting the house and be part of the IFI community as their studies allow.
